Flavio Batista

Flavio Batista serves as the Chief Commercial Officer for the Georgia Ports Authority, providing strategic leadership for all business and sales and marketing activities driving international business at the premier global gateway’s terminals in Savannah and Brunswick.

He is responsible for developing Georgia Port’s commercial activities to sustain long-term profitable growth and market share leadership, while leading the sales, marketing, economic development and customer experience departments.

His passion for finding end-to-end solutions for customers, combined with more than two decades of maritime industry experience, drives his work promoting Georgia Ports across the globe.

Prior his appointment at the GPA, Flavio served at Ro/Ro logistics leader, Wallenius Wilhelmsen, as senior vice president and head of Americas sales; executive vice president and head of commercial activities for Europe, Africa and the Middle East; and as vice president in São Paulo, Brazil, responsible for South America.

Flavio earned a Bachelor of International Business Administration at Bandeirante University in São Paulo, and a Master of Business at The International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
